1 additional night of frost concerns in the Jackson, Ann Arbor areas
Another really cool night is on the way to South Lower Michigan. Let’s take a look at how cold the temperatures could be by Wednesday morning.
Here are the coldest temperatures I found this morning.
Jackson fell below freezing to 31 degrees for an hour this morning. Ann Arbor appears to have cooled to 33 degrees.
A frost warning applies to the entire southwestern neighborhood of Lower Michigan, including Jackson, on Wednesday morning. Southeast Lower and Ann Arbor will no longer have freezer warming as of noon today. In the frost warning area. Wednesday temperatures at 8 a.m. are expected to be above freezing.
Below are the low temperature forecasts for Wednesday morning. An area around Lansing and Jackson is forecast to freeze. Ann Arbor is expected to stay a few degrees above freezing.
Thursday morning seems a few degrees warmer than Wednesday morning, so the frost shouldn’t be widespread or dense.
If you’re in the Jackson area that seems colder on nights like this, bring planters back to the garage tonight. Cover the vegetables in the garden. Flowers planted around the foundation of your home can be fine with a few degrees of heat near the home. I would still cover what you can’t afford to replant. At Ann Arbor I would cover what you can easily cover or if you are feeling in a low lying, cold area.
Is this the last frosty night? With milder temperatures for the next two weeks, another frost would be hard to imagine.
