USPS truck stolen in Detroit recovered, suspect arrested

DETROIT – A woman is in custody after a US Postal Service truck reported as stolen in Detroit is found.

According to the USPS, the incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday when the postman was on their route on Monte Vista Street. Officials said a woman in her forties pushed the porter off her truck and drove off in the vehicle.

The postman was not injured.

The vehicle was on Appoline Street near Grand River Avenue and the woman was still in the driver’s seat.

The truck was taken to downtown Detroit for further inspection.
