Side Biscuit opens a restaurant in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, me. – After 10 months of feeding Ann Arbor as a pop-up, Side Biscuit opens the doors to its own shop.

The Chicken Wing and Biscuit Restaurant is located on South Packard Street and opens on Saturday, March 13th.

Side Biscuit was founded by Chef Jordan Balduf and is owned by Cultivate Coffe & Taphouse owner Sara Demorest. In Spring 2020, Side Biscuit launched in Balduf’s driveway in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“It has always been a dream of mine to use the skills I have learned and open my own restaurant,” Balduf said in a press release. “I am thrilled to share my food with the community that has helped me grow into this life event.”

The shop offers a changing selection of chicken wings, homemade biscuits, side dishes, salads and desserts. The wing flavors include OG Buffalo, BBQ, Gochujang, and Thai curry, as well as rotating cookie flavors like elote and black sesame.

Balduf was previously Executive Chef at 327 Braun Court in Kerrytown and at HOMES Brewery on the west side of Ann Arbor.

“It was exciting to work with Jordan to transform Side Biscuit from a coveted pop-up to a real experience while maintaining what makes Side Biscuit great: authenticity, creativity and care for presentation and taste – while maintaining a strong one Connection to the local community, ”said co-owner Sara Demorest.

The new Wing Spot plans to partner with local vendors, farms and businesses and will continue to offer pop-up experiences in Tree Town and Michigan, the press release said.

Side Biscuit is located at 1232 Packard Street on the corner of Packard Street and Woodlawn Avenue.
