MI Gas Prices Fall Below $3 Per Gallon: AAA

MICHIGAN – Gas prices in Michigan fell below $3 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline on Sunday, according to AAA.

Drivers in Michigan paid $2.99 ​​for a regular gallon of gas, down three cents from a week ago and 64 cents from a month ago, according to AAA.

Gas prices in metro Detroit were slightly higher at $3 per gallon of regular gas, up six cents from last week but down 44 cents from a month ago, according to AAA.

“As the year comes to a close, Michigan motorists are seeing some of the lowest gas prices of 2022,” AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. “If demand remains low and stocks rise, drivers could see pump prices continue to decrease through next year.”

The most expensive gas prices averages were in Traverse City ($3.21), Jackson ($3.11) and Ann Arbor ($3.03). The least expensive gas price averages were in Saginaw ($2.85), Flint ($2.88) and Lansing ($2.91).
