Last chance to skate at Ann Arbor’s Buhr Park this weekend

ANN ARBOR – Spring officially begins on Monday and with the warmer weather the city’s only ice rink closes in Buhr Park.

Skating will be possible until Sunday, the last day of the season.

In order to be able to participate in an open skate, you have to reserve a place. The weekend availability can be found here.

In the meantime, the Veterans Memorial Indoor Ice Arena has added a few new time slots for skating. You can book this online here. Community members can also rent the rink for non-hockey events for $ 250 an hour. For more information on private events, contact Bill Meeks, Recreational Supervisor, at [email protected]

The new times that will be added to the regular schedule are:

  • Friday, March 26th, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, March 27th, 1pm – 1pm and 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Regular ice skating times in Vets Park:

  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

  • Monday: 12 p.m.-1.30 p.m.

  • Tuesday: 12 p.m.-1.30 p.m.
