Kent County receives $513Okay to provide health screens, meals to resettled Afghan refugees

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Kent County has received an additional $ 513,000 from the state to provide health screenings and meals to up to several hundred Afghan refugees who could be relocated in the West Michigan area.

On Thursday, November 18, the Kent County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved two separate grants from the state to provide these services.
