The Ann Arbor Fire Department investigates a night fire in an abandoned building

ANN ARBOR, me. – Firefighters are investigating a fire that occurred in downtown Ann Arbor on Monday night.

At 11:12 pm, Ann Arbor Fire Department personnel found a “well-involved” fire in the vacant building at 111 N. 1st St., near the intersection of 1st and West Huron Streets.

The fire is currently being investigated to determine whether it was arson – deliberately lit – or by people trying to cook or stay warm. The building’s power supply was previously interrupted, officials said.

The same vacant house previously burned on February 2, 2021.

Parishioners with information should call the Ann Arbor City Fire Prevention Bureau at 734-794-6961.
