Help The Ride determine the next 25 years of public transportation around Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, me. – Influence the future of public transportation through 2045 as a member of the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) public advisory group.

Members will represent the community and make their contributions to the challenges and solutions of TheRide 2045, the long-term planning project of the public transport system.

Work on the plan began in the fall of 2019, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan will include new services and technologies integrated into an adaptable transit network.

The members of the public advisory group will meet in the first phase of the four phases of TheRide2045 for approximately 10 months. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings are being held virtually or by telephone.

Although it is a non-voting group, the public advisory group will work to ensure that the transit system is consistent with the visions of the community and customers. According to TheRide2045 website, group members will match the demographics of customers in TheRide’s service area as closely as possible.

TheRide users from Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township and other service areas are encouraged to apply.

Apply here by May 5th.
