Grand Rapids family won’t let Grinch who stole Christmas decorations ruin their cheer

The thieves ripped the cables off the inflatable boats so they couldn’t even use them.

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – According to some experts, hanging your Christmas decorations early can make you happier. However, some thieves decided to ruin the mood for a Grand Rapids family.

“I really wanted to be this house,” said Bex Takacs-Britz.

This home contains Christmas decorations with thousands of lights, inflatables, and Christmas music through November 1st.

“We don’t have a full yard to work with, but I wanted Clark Griswold to do the best I could,” they said.

Takacs-Britz’s four-year-old son was particularly fond of the bouncy castles, but some Grinches tried to spoil the joy.

“We woke up on Sunday and looked outside and they were gone. Everything was missing from the other side of the house. The unicorn was gone. Marshall from PAW Patrol and Minnie Mouse were gone.”

The thieves ripped out the cables so they couldn’t even use the inflatables.

Takacs-Britz filed a complaint with the police. They said the most hurt was their son.

“He keeps asking why someone took it? Do the bad guys get caught? Do the bad guys come to take more things? Explaining this to a four year old is no fun. It pisses me off. Who? Steals Christmas? Really. That is not the Grinch. Leave things alone that are not yours. Let people enjoy life, “said Takacs-Britz.

Takacs-Britz and her husband will be the “bigger” people. They have already ordered a larger rubber dinghy to be placed on the roof of Santa Claus, who is riding a unicorn over a rainbow with a sign that says “Have a Magical Christmas”.

“The joy of Christmas is greater than any harm it can do to the community,” they said.

The family is also adding security chains to their inflatables and installing new surveillance cameras.
