Early voting opened in Lansing

LANSING, Michigan (WILX) – The pre-walk-in voting begins Thursday in Lansing. Voters can fill out and hand in their postal ballot papers until November 1st.

Voting papers can be filled out and handed in on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Wednesdays the center is open until 7 p.m.

There is one exception: the doors must close on November 1st at 4:00 p.m. according to state law. The city of Lansing will also take ballots on Saturday, October 30th, and on Halloween, Sunday, October 31st.

Voting will take place during business hours at City Hall in the South Washington Election Unit on Washington Avenue between Mount Hope and Holmes.
