Detroit Pistons to host ‘Family Vaccination Day’ event at training facility Saturday

DETROIT – The city of Detroit partnered with the Detroit Pistons this weekend for a special COVID-19 vaccination event.

To encourage Detroit residents and employees to get vaccinated against COVID, the city and the Pistons are holding Family Vaccination Day on Saturday, May 1, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Pistons Performance Center.

Anyone 16 years or older who lives or works in the city is eligible for a vaccination at the Saturday event. First doses of the Pfizer vaccine are given. Appointments are required to receive a vaccine dose on Saturday – call 313-230-0505 to schedule an appointment.
