Board of Commission being sued over gun incident during livestream

FOX 17 / AP – A woman who was reportedly threatened by an armed commissioner during a live streaming event is now suing the Board of Commissioners in Traverse City.

The incident happened back in January. The pictures show Commissioner Ron Clous pointing a gun over Zoom during a meeting.

According to the AP, Clous and other members of the district executive met remotely on Jan. 20 because of the pandemic. During a public comment phase over the phone, resident Keli MacIntosh criticized the chairman for allowing members of the far-right Proud Boys group to speak last year in favor of the county’s declaration on the Second Amendment Sanctuary.

The lawsuit is expected to be filed in the US District Court on April 12.
