2 women charged with the murder of a man who was burned to death in Lansing

LANSING, me. – Two Lansing women were charged with the murder of 28-year-old Corey Dalton.

Sharnae Cook, 27, and Marissa Gilbert, 29, are charged with causing the May 5 fire that led to Dalton’s death.

According to police reports, they found Dalton’s body badly burned outside when they arrived at a townhouse in the southwest of the city around 4 a.m.

Dalton received immediate medical attention but did not survive.

The two women were charged in the Eaton County Court.
