Traverse City Salvation Army Holds Postponed Christmas Meal

The Traverse City Salvation Army’s annual Christmas meal had to be postponed this year because of the weather.

Even though Christmas is over, the community still came out for the belated holiday meal on Wednesday.

People were able to take the meals home or enjoy them at the community center.

“It’s more than just a meal. It’s an opportunity to talk. It’s an opportunity to fellowship and share around the holidays,” said Lieutenant Matthew Winters of the Salvation Army.

The Traverse City Salvation Army says countless people have talked about how meaningful the meal was to them.

If you didn’t get a chance to come, you can find all of the Salvation Army’s services on their website.
