The bar opening in downtown Lansing features craft beer and sliders
LANSING – A bar serving craft beer and more than a dozen different types of sliders is planning to open a location in downtown Lansing.
The Sidecar Slider Bar will be located at 500 E. Michigan Ave. sometime this year. opened, said co-owner Steve Simon.
The bar’s first location opened in Birmingham about five years ago, he said. Two more have since opened in Commerce Township and Farmington.
The Sidecar Slider Bar has two dozen beers on tap and a menu of 15-20 sliders filled with everything from pulled pork to tuna, Simon said. Most customers order two or three at a time, he said.
“We try to do unique things that people don’t see every day,” he said.
These include cheeseburgers with peanut butter and jelly bacon, which usually surprise guests, Simon said.
“Every time they come back it’s one of the favorites,” he said.
Efforts to bring a location to downtown Lansing began over a year ago, Simon said.
