We were told two cars were traveling west on I-10 when both cars passed the median, which authorities say is a no U-turn, to turn east.

Both vehicles were hit by a semi-trailer, all occupants in one vehicle were killed and five people were seriously injured in the other, explains AZDPS.

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to the Maricopa County Jail after she was released from the hospital, officials say, identifying her as 35-year-old Iyona Holton.

We have been told that Holton has been jailed for fourfold grievous bodily harm, once for possession of dangerous drugs and once for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The incident is still being investigated.
