MSU Soccer: 3-star S Trevon Howard visits East Lansing in June
East Lansing, Michigan – Trevon Howard, an IMG Academy security guard, will complete his recruitment on July 4th following his official visits.
The three-star security service is scheduled to be in East Lansing for its last stop of the month on June 25th.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Howard is # 62 in Minnesota overall recruitment and one of the top 35 securities in the 2022 Recruiting Class.
The 6-foot-1 defender is holding offers from Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, but Howard is expected to pick Michael Swain’s Spartans CycloneAlert.
As a newcomer, Howard recorded 102 tackles (42 solos, 60 assists), including 9.0 for one loss, one interception, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 11 defended passes.
In 2020, he was credited with 12 tackles and a selection six, while the IMG Academy graduated undefeated with a national title.
Nine players are committed to the Spartans 2022 class, with another security in Malik Spencer. The native Georgian is a starter at Buford High School and also won a championship in 2020.
