Moist, chilly Saturday morning, then drier
DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday, Motown.
It remains sloppy this morning with damp, cool conditions. It will be drier for college football fans around noon and this afternoon. It will still stay cool and there is a chance of a spotty drizzle or light shower.
Halloween gets milder as the day progresses. Chances are for Sunday afternoons and evenings to be scattered very widely, but most trick-or-treaters stay dry. Then temperatures will drop when many Detroiters vote early next week.
A flood warning is in place along the Huron River near Hamburg in Livingston County.
Saturday sunrise is at 8:04 am
The pounding rain that southeast Michigan has received since yesterday is slowly subsiding on Saturday morning. It gets chilly with temperatures starting in the middle and upper 40s. Tail flaps and other drivers should exercise caution when driving on wet surfaces.
Michigan plays Michigan State at Spartan Stadium with kick-off at noon. At this point it will be cloudy and the rain will be much more scattered. Temperatures will be close to 50 degrees.
On Saturday afternoons it will be mostly cloudy and cool. High temperatures will be in the low 50s for hay drives and last minute pumpkin picking. There is the possibility of an occasional drizzle or rain shower.

On Saturday evening it will be mostly cloudy and cool. The temperatures remain at around 50 degrees. It gets colder on Saturday night. Skies go from mostly cloudy to partly cloudy as the mercury drops to the low 40s.

At trunk-or-treat festivities, it gets milder during the day. It will be partly to mostly sunny with daytime temperatures around 60 degrees.
Sunday evening gets cooler for trick or treating. Temperatures will drop to the low 50s and high 40s at sunset and thereafter.
Remember to slow down and be extra vigilant as children walk around the neighborhoods this Sunday.
