Miss Kim is hosting a brunch pop-up with Lala’s cook Allie Lyttle in Ann Arbor this month

ANN ARBOR – What do you get when you combine American home cooking with authentic Korean cuisine?

A one-of-a-kind pop-up from Miss Kim – and it happens weekly.

Chef Ji Hye Kim, who hosted pop-ups with fellow chefs during the pandemic, is working with Lala’s Chef Allie Lyttle in March to bring locals an epic brunch of items like Korean poutine and breakfast bao.

The couple, who met as line chefs at Zingerman’s Roadhouse, hope to continue the pop-up through April.

Treat yourself to a decadent brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menus change weekly and over the coming weekend there will be some Irish-inspired dishes in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Lyttle’s signature candied bacon and BBQ tots are repeated alongside Miss Kim’s favorite milk tea (Boba optional) and ginger and plum soda.
