Mild start with upper 70s later

There are no weather issues when you’re out and about near Metro Detroit this Tuesday morning. The sky is partly cloudy and there is no rain or fog with temperatures in your upper 40s to low and mid 50s when you spend time outdoors.

Sunrise is at 6:09 am

We will see a lot of sunshine in the morning and early afternoon on Tuesday with less of those tall, thin clouds. The high clouds will increase and thicken later in the afternoon as the highs hit the upper 70s and light winds SSE 5-10 mph. Some locations on the east side may stay a little cooler with the wind blowing from Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. No rain in the forecast today!

The sunset is at 8:51 p.m.

A warm front hits southeast Michigan on Wednesday, bringing in more clouds and a few showers before the warm and humid stuff sets in. Scattered showers both in the morning and later in the afternoon are possible with highs between the mid and late 70s, but 80s are possible when the afternoon sun mixes in.

Thursday and Friday will be a taste of summer here in Metro Detroit in mid-May. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, flirting with 90F Thursday through Sunday to get close to some local record highs. The big variable will be cloud cover, which may limit Friday and Saturday temperatures. Thursday looks good, mostly with sunshine and mid to late 80s. The humidity adds another layer on Friday and Saturday as we get closer to 90F and feel even warmer. We will look for showers, especially on Sunday and Monday.
