The Still Pure Michigan campaign is slated to run through February and utilize broadcast and networked television, online video and digital advertising, and social media, said Michigan Economic Development Corp. with.

Much of the focus of the tourism and marketing campaign will be on travel and shopping.

Commercials will run in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Lansing, Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Traverse City, Cadillac, Marquette, and Alpena. They will also be seen in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Kentucky.

This year’s total winter advertising budget is over $ 3 million.

The Pure Michigan campaign kicks off shortly before many Michigan ski resorts open for the year, according to MEDC.

“As winter approaches, adventure awaits in the form of downhill skiing, fat tree biking or snowshoeing in epic backcountry landscapes,” said Dave Lorenz, Vice President of Travel Michigan.
