(WXYZ) – Gas prices in Michigan and the metropolitan Detroit area continue to fall ahead of the holidays.

The AAA Michigan said the average gas price in Michigan is down 5 cents from the previous week. The average is $ 3.14 a gallon, 23 cents less than this time last month, but still $ 1 more than this time last year.
