Detroit is partnering with an Ann Arbor-based company to prevent lead contamination – CBS Detroit

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) – The city of Detroit plans to save millions while ensuring its pipes are safe across the state after the water crisis.

The city is working with Ann Arbor’s BlueConduit to help locate and predict which water pipes may contain lead.

This partnership is expected to save the city more than $ 160 million and is funded through grants.
