Ann Marie Bridson, 80, of Traverse City, died on July 26, 2021 at the Leelanau Medilodge.
Ann Marie was born in Detroit on May 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Howard Leon and Eleanor (Hasse) Chilson.
On September 30, 1961, Ann married Marie Bernard “Bernie” Robert Bridson. Together they celebrated almost 60 years of marriage and many fond memories.
Ann Marie especially valued her titles Mama and Grandma. She was a great caregiver and loved pampering her grandchildren. When she was young, she was a 4-H leader, a brownie leader, and helped raise livestock. She also worked in data entry for RL Polk, Belfour Engineering, and Lake States Insurance. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, embroidery, cooking and spending time in her garden.
Ann Marie always looked for the good in people. She was always ready to help and had such a kind and generous heart. She is very much missed.
Ann Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard; Daughters, Laurie (Mark) Wilson, Brenda Bridson; and son Steven (Vicky) Bridson; Grandson, Nathan (Hannah) Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, Logan Wilson, Andrew Bridson, Shawnna (Steve) Manzano, and Melissa (Guy) Foss; five great-grandchildren and one in September; and brothers, Leon (Cathy) Chilson, Don “Eddie” (Linda) Chilson and Howard “Butch” (Janet) Chilson.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery. Lunch follows at Bernie’s home.
