Ann Arbor Hash Bash with Calvin Johnson goes virtual

(WLNS) – A number of notable names and faces are set to speak when the Ann Arbor Hash Bash goes virtual later today.

The Hash Bash, one of the longest-running rallies to legalize cannabis in the country, first began in 1972 but is not held in person for the second year in a row due to Covid-19 precautions.

Names expected to speak on Saturday include Attorney General Dana Nessel, Congressman Debbie Dingell, former Detroit Lions soccer star Calvin Johnson, and former Detroit Red Wing and Stanley Cup champion Darren McCarty.

The event will focus on the need to legalize marijuana at the federal level and to repair the damage caused by the war on drugs.
