Traverse City Elks Hold Mother’s Day Food Drive

The Traverse City Elks started their second annual Mother’s Day Food Ride.

Last year they started the trip because of COVID and the overwhelming response they wanted to give back.

It is said that even one person donated a check for $ 1,000.

The Elks work with the Father Fred Foundation to ensure these donations get into the hands of the local people.

Cindy Bates, Loyal Knight for Traverse City Elks Lodge, says, “We are really encouraged by how the community responds when you say the word that there is a need. I think we have a very generous community here in Traverse City. “

They also accept donations on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
