TMSG: Lansing House offers horrors, tricks and treats for Halloween

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Two best friends in the middle of Michigan are back! For decades, Karen Richardson and Rebecca Hall have been going crazy with their Halloween display at 1305 Hillcrest Street in Lansing. “It’s just so much fun. We look forward to it all year round, ”said Richardson.

It’s a lot of work year after year. The couple began setting up their display on September 1. But what is really challenging and time consuming is that almost everything they put up is handcrafted. “The bottom line, seeing the kids light up when they see things, the horror, the fun and the laughter, we know we just love it,” Hall said.

They focus on reusing items and recycling parts that they hope will inspire other people on limited incomes. “I hope this works for you too, you have some ideas and hope that you can do things without having to spend a lot of money, too,” Hall said.

“We have a lot of people who come by every day and night, walk, drive, take photos, make videos. We’re really happy about that. The more people we have, the more children we have, we don’t care. Dude, anyone can come in. We’re all about Halloween, ”said Richardson.
