Suspect arrested after driving wrong means, crashes vehicle on Detroit’s west side
Police officer was dragged on Detroit’s West Side during the chase
It was previously reported that an officer was dragged into a chase by the police. Detroit police officers say the officer was not dragged and there was no police chase.
DETROIT – A police officer was reportedly dragged along while attempting a traffic stop on the west side of Detroit.
According to police sources, the driver who pulled the officer drove away and was later seen on Eight Mile Road before falling. After our report aired, Second Deputy Chief Rudy Harper said the officer was not dragged and there was no persecution.
The officer is expected to be fine.
