Lansing Old Town shooting leads to one woman injured Friday
LANSING — Police say one woman was wounded in a Friday night shooting in Old Town.
Lansing Police Sgt. Kevin Schlagel Monday said that at about 6 pm Friday officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Cesar E. Chavez Avenue for a possible shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a woman in her late 20s with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Schlagel said.
Schlagel said the woman was transported to a local hospital. There are no suspects at this time, but detectives plan to follow up.
He said police do not believe there is a threat to the public at this time and anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the department at 517-483-4600.
