ANN ARBOR, MI – A kindergarten boy is back home after trying to cross I-94 on Saturday afternoon.

Michigan State Police responded to a call at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after being alerted that a boy about 5 was trying to cross I-94 eastbound near Huron Street.

The boy apparently left a nearby residential complex and wandered through a wooded area to the highway, the police said.

The police seized the boy and brought him safely to his mother.
