June 18, 2021 afternoon, evening forecast
DETROIT – Here is the update of the Metro Detroit weather forecast for June 18, 2021 afternoon and evening.
More showers, storms rest Friday
-
Round one is over as announced, but now we’re waiting for round two.
-
Until 7:00 p.m. we will be closely monitoring the radar to see how a few showers and storms develop.
-
This second round won’t be widespread, but any storm that develops could be strong to severe.
-
The greatest threats will be high winds with gusts of over 60 miles per hour, hail and an isolated tornado or two that cannot be ruled out.
Chance of rain on the weekend
-
The chance of rain this weekend increases – especially on Saturday.
-
Saturday: Sometimes a few showers and storms pass by. Not washed out all day, but Sunday seems like the better of the two days.
-
Sunday: Mostly dry, but it can rain again later in the evening. Most of what falls with this storm system, however, will be on Monday.
More rain early next week
-
Monday is our next solid chance for everyone to see more rain, but unfortunately that comes with the risk of storms.
