Finalist for “Lansing Built to Last”: Capital City Sweets

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – There are now five finalists in the Lansing Built to Last competition.

This idea arose in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Executives in central Michigan saw the devastating impact the virus and associated shutdowns had on small businesses and wanted to help figure out a way to make them successful.

During today’s Daily Digital Debrief webcast, Digital Anchor Chivon Kloepfer spoke to Patrick Kayser, one of the founders of Capital City Sweets, an ice cream and chocolate shop, that he hopes to be a special place in downtown Lansing that people are following a long day at work or take the kids with you on weekends.

Hear what Patrick has to say about his business idea and Lansing Built to Last in the video above.

Each of the five finalists will be featured in 6 News during the daily digital debriefing from Monday 3rd May to Friday 7th May.

You can find out who will win the LIVE competition on Friday, May 7th at 7 p.m. at www.wlns.com
