Fare discounts under Ann Arbors TheRide. proposed changes

ANN ARBOR, me. – TheRide users can make their voice heard about possible tariff changes in Tree Town’s public transport system.

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) is seeking public feedback on their proposed fare, which outlines future fare changes for various passes and services.

The proposal would keep the base rate for fixed-route bus journeys the same, but would lower rates for unlimited 1-day passes, 30-day passes and FlexRide services, officials said in a press release.

The tariffs for GoldRide Premium services would rise, but so would the areas it serves, which are available to users within three quarters of a mile of fixed bus routes in the cities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti and Pittsfield and Ypsilanti Townships.

An expanded map of GoldRide Premium Services can be found here.

Fixed-route fare changes go into effect January 2022, while GoldRide changes begin on Sunday, August 29, officials said.
