Elmira and Lansing were among the Section 4 winners in week 5 of football

Elmira opened a 22-point lead in the first quarter on Friday night en route to a 36:16 win at Windsor.

Tresean Terwilliger won 189 yards and scored two touchdowns at 22 rushes for Class AA Elmira (3-2). The Express (0-1) overtook Windsor 315-162, gained 8.8 yards per rush and didn’t trip.

Elmira led 28-6 at halftime.

It was Elmira’s second win in a row after losing to Horseheads and Corning. The Express is expected to end its season at home against Ithaca on April 24.

Jionel Howard, Evan Garvin and Jared Alford also had touchdown runs for the Express.

The Black Knights’ Ethan Reed raced for 111 yards and one touchdown 26 times and completed seven passes for 49 yards and one score.

Class C Windsor is 0-5.

Lansing Caps 4-1 season

Ben Vincent wins for Lansing 46:14 against Elmira Notre Dame in eight-man soccer on April 16, 2021 at Brewer Memorial Stadium.

Lansing quarterback Ben Vincent ran 185 yards and five touchdowns on Friday night as the Bobcats ended an eight-player 4-1 season with a 46-14 win over hosts Elmira Notre Dame.

Vincent switched to running back in the second half and added a 38-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to give Lansing a 39-8 advantage.

In the first half, Vincent had touchdown runs that spanned 1, 8, 2, and 52 yards.

Devin Wright and Eric Khan added touchdown runs for Lansing.

Two big games earned the Crusaders points (1-3). Dylan Clark turned a short pass from Eric Bukowinski into a 69-yard touchdown in the first half. Kellan Murphy scored the final points of the game on a 75-yard touchdown dash.

Last-Second-TD keeps WG / OM unbeaten

The junior quarterback Cameron Holland met a 5-yard keeper eight seconds before the end as Watkins Glen / Odessa-Montour celebrated a 28:24 win over Dryden.
